Our clinicians

Dr. Ashley Gault, Principal Clinical Psychologist

Ashley is an AHPRA endorsed Clinical Psychologist (PSY0002105008) with over 11 years of experience working as a Psychologist. Originally hailing from Scotland, Ashley completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, before making the move to the Illawarra in 2016 where she has lived and worked ever since.

Ashley is a caring, warm and welcoming therapist who prides herself on building effective therapeutic relationships with her clients and their support systems. She is skilled in creating a playful and creative approach to therapy that enables young clients to feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Upon this foundation, Ashley can provide individualised, strengths-based approaches to enable children to build resilience in the face of life's problems as they grow and develop.

Ashley is trained in assessing and treating a range of psychological problems common in childhood; including those that co-occur with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism and/or ADHD. This commonly includes:

  • anxiety disorders of childhood
  • mood difficulties and emotion regulation issues
  • low self-esteem
  • social and behavioural difficulties
  • school refusal and bullying

When she's not at work, Ashley is a mum to two young daughters and enjoys spending time exploring the wonders of our local area with them. This includes taking her two loveable but energetic dogs on long walks along the coastline with her husband.

Ashley has full Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance in NSW (WWC1350932E).

Ashley is also a Psychology Board of Australia approved clinical Supervisor and is available to provide clinical supervision to support clinicians to meet their annual CPD requirements, or to fulfil the objectives of their AHPRA training pathways/programmes.  Please contact us for more information on supervision opportunities.
